San Juan Teposcolula

San Juan Teposcolula, Oaxaca is an enigmatic construction made by the Order of Preachers at the end of the 16th century, in times of evangelization. Research indicates that the Dominicans first built the open chapel and later the walls that would give rise to the temple were attached, which has a north-south orientation, when they were commonly oriented from west to east, by the ancient Christian tradition, towards Jerusalem. This jewel has been rescued from its total destruction, thanks to the Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation, Oaxaca.
