The Tree of the Plazuela del Carbón This old square was used to market coal and other products that were brought from other locations. Tradition indicates that this tree was brought from Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, England. It was planted in 1880 by Professor Agustín F. Blancas. Undoubtedly one of the emblems of the Veracruz capital and pride of the xalapeños. Get to know it.
