Hotel San Francisco

Very nice hotel for a good price. Warm water. Good TV channels. I watched Chivas lose to Dorados in CopaMX. I would suggest that the staff would keep voice down late at night or early morning because we can hear them and it keeps us awake. We also suggest to add a glass dor at the entrance and keep it close to lessen the noise of cars from outside. Saludos to the doorman who brought us our earbuds that fell as we were leaving the hotel. He ran 1 block to return them to us. We will definitely be back.

Nice building and excellent location. Very nice bathrooms and good towels & hot water. Rooms very commercial (like an motel or cheap office) with no personality despite the lovely colonial building. I loved my tiny balcony but had to sleep with earplugs as there is loud traffic noise (music) until early am. Lobby carpets were soaked from leaks when it rained, but not a cozy place to hangout anyway. The whole place was "nice", but not welcoming. The desk staff was pretty snooty (about what?) all five days though a very nice young man ushered me to my room when I arrived. Maybe a good place for SLP, but in Zacatecas, Guanajuato etc...there are much nicer places for less. The breakfast buffet included in the price was terrible. I mean really terrible. That it was available to the public for $130 pesos is unbelievable. Items were limited, cold, unappetizing and very poor quality...sometimes half the dishes were out. The first day there was no bread or tortillas. Just as well, as in later days, the bread was obviously from the day before! A decent breakfast is cheap and easy-- so I suspect the restaurant in general is a waste of time and money. 50-70p will get you a hot, fresh breakfast nearby.

Nice room and friendly service. No air conditioning do room is hot in the summer. Ask for fan at front desk. Best thing is it's Centro area.

Beautiful place. However ask for a room that has a balcony otherwise you’ll be disappointed in the cramped interior rooms. Below are pics of room 121 (outside) and also the reception area.

Central location with cheap rather big rooms. But you get what you pay for, no windows in our room and no air-condition, also quite noisy. Very nice and helpful staff though few of them spoke English.
