Showed up, place had been closed for a while but the security guard after speaking with a co-working let us in for a bit more than the ticket price. The grass was pretty tall around the train cars and the wife didn't have the shoes on to be climbing around a big boy toys so I had at it for a while. The museum of course wasn't open, neither the caboose with the train set. But I got to climb around things and take lots of pictures. If you do get in you very much have to be careful of falling through a rotted floor or having a staircase or ramp fail. Normal for the area. One of the cooler things we did in Merida. Could of spend 1/2 a day hear easily

Incredible place to know everything about the history of these great machines. The cost for us was very accessible, and you can see the pleasure of the guides for their work. They don't charge a fee, they only accept what visitors want to give them. There is a great variety of railroads of many epochs, there is also a nice model with small-scale train. It's a place that I highly recommend visiting if you are in Merida

Interesting place to learn about the history of trains in Mexico. Run by volunteers. Many trains are in poor condition but they are trying to refurbish them. If you like trains it's worth visiting

A very interesting place to see the old trains, I appreciate the interest of a small group of enthusiastic people who are trying to make it a more relevant place. Still lacks of information at the entrance of every train to understand better and enjoy even more the visit. But being in such a huge land I appreciate it is clean , they have WC inside an old wagon. Definitely a hidden gem not be missed

Our kids had a great time exploring the old railroad cars. We missed the entrance it looks like the entrance to the parking lot for the railroad workers.
