This place reminds me of a botanical garden with focus on the cacao and some wild life. For only 150 pesos you will ably to see how Maya used cocoa, how hot chocolate was made my them, some wild life in forms of Jaguar, spider monkeys, parrots, and deers (you can feed them except of jaguars). The cacao drink was very delicious! Also, try that chocolate cookie they sell in the gift store and coffee shop! It’s extra chocolaty 😋

I really love the surroundings of the property and how well kept it is. The animals and the story behind of how chocolate was made many years ago. The chocolate drink tasting is so very good. Overall I recommend this site to all travelers. 👍👍

As one tour guide said: everything and more than you would ever want to know about chocolate. Very informative displays, artifacts and maps in various small structures along a meandering path. As you walk along you are surrounded by plants, trees and flowers. Even some caged rescued monkeys and deer. It was a leisurely and enjoyable stroll that ended with a tasting of some really good hot chocolate.

This is basically across the street from the archeological site of Uxmal. It’s a history of chocolate with diagrams, photos, and a brief demonstration at the end. You go through at your own pace. It gives you something else to do while you’re in the area.
