Interesting colonial church built on the top of an ancient Mayan pyramid.

Good information presented, but few objects to observe. The tour is very short and the most valuable are the mummies. The entry price is low, $ 20MXN per person.

Very small museum with three exhibition halls, one on the henequen, another with old and broken photos of some Mayan pyramids and a last with 4 mummies found in the church when it was remodeled. Admission is $ 5 and the tour is done in 15 minutes. I wish there was more government support to improve it.

It is a small museum about local history and the atmosphere is fascinating. Inside you can appreciate both human remains of the ancient Mayas and small mummies in very good condition of preservation, is located next to the church of San Mateo, just 10 minutes from the Cd. De Ticul and 15 minutes from the archaeological zone of Uxmal. To be able to enter you only have to pay a small fee.
