Museo Recinto de La Reforma

Former Franciscan convent in the port of Veracruz Chronicles indicate that the first temple was built with only a masonry tower, and it was not until the first years of the 18th century that the foundations, vault, walls and interior arch were built, with lime and stone edges. A plaque inside indicates that the work was carried out with funds from the University of Mateantes of Seville and that the remains of Doña Ángela Cortes y Arellano, great-granddaughter of Hernando Cortés, occurred in 1663. In 1872 the lighthouse was built, where the bell tower was located; the cloister and cells were occupied as a customs warehouse, the temple was enabled for a library, and finally around 1964, the site was intended to house a museum dedicated to the Laws of Reform.

A place full of history and architecturally speaking beautiful. A must if your visit to the port of Veracruz and the historic center.

It is a good place if you only need to illustrate yourself as to the most basic information of the place, everything is well organized and highlighted for your presentation, it is honestly something simple for my taste, but it is still interesting ...

Nice statues free entry, but they should add more things, the museum is a bit simple
