Museo Casa Diego Rivera

Unfortunately we were not able to enter as they are not allowing kids below 12 years due to covid. But staff was nice and it was apparent that the place was well kept, clean and organized! Would definitely come back!

Such a great museum! The artwork is beautiful along with the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A great little museum in which you can see the many different artistic styles of Diego Rivera. entrance fee was only 25 pesos and while we were there, a gentleman came by offering a tour in Spanish and English, on a donation basis. This is definitely museum in which you will get your money's worth. Good for at least an hour of walking around. There's also an auditorium upstairs which features a large 3 section miracle of Rivera's with detailed explanations of the many figures which appear in the works.

Nice place to look at Diego's art trough different time periods. Diego's family used to occupy the first floor, while other families lived on the upper ones. The only original furniture is the crib, the typewriter and the books belonging to Diego's father. The reason why you can't take photos of his work is because his daughter holds the copyright. The guide's explanation about the mural is interesting, but apparently it's only in Spanish, so I guess that would trouble people who don't speak the language.

This is my kind of museum where you wander through at your own pace and there is enough art and information so you learn a little bit but not too much to overwhelm. Definitely worth the price of admission and time to visit.
