Beds are hard as a rock, and the restaurant is so-so. That being said, everything else about this place is great! The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and surroundings are like a garden paradise. (Complete with iguanas!) They are especially accommodating to the needs of scuba divers. I have stayed here many times, and will continue to do so with future vacations.

This was my second visit to Casa del Mar and both visits have been outstanding. The dive group I joined has been coming here for decades, and there are rarely complaints. Convenient access to the docks. This is definitely a great place to stay if you are a scuba diver. My only suggestion would be racks to dry gear after diving.

We had a great stay. The staff was attentive, the food was good, and the room was comfortable. I'm looking forward to returning.

What a great place to stay (even during COVID). In the past, my boyfriend and I have stayed at big, fancy resorts. However this time we stayed at the Casa Del Mar Hotel. It was clean, quaint, professional, and the staff was 5 star amazing. We paid for the ALL AMERICAN PLAN a.k.a. All Inclusive which was worth every penny. The place is dated. beautiful, and has great character.

PROS - This hotel had nice small balconies for every room to sit outside, had a nice pool area and jacuzzi, most of the staff were very friendly, an inexpensive bar/restaurant on sight, taxis were always waiting outside, well kept property, and very clean. CONS - Does not have access to a REAL beach (only has connecting bridge to a man-made diving beach with lots of rocks in the water), inconveniently located because there are only 2 restaurants within walking distance and the nice beaches are several miles south of the hotel, toilet in our room (215) kept clogging and had trouble flushing and staff did not fix it correctly, laundry service was absolutely horrible and had to wait 2 days for them to wash just a couple of shorts and shirts (they almost lost my clothes and had to constantly ask about where my laundry was and when it would be ready), did not even deliver my laundry to my room and had to pick it up at front desk. We would not return and do not recommend because the CONS outweighed the PROS.
