.La Cruz in memory of Don Guillermo González Camarena. On April 18, 1965, Sunday of Resurrection there was a strong car accident, there was a curved curve followed by a narrow bridge, the chronicles cite at 6:45 p.m. a 1965 Ford Galaxie car driven by Engineer Guillermo González Camarena and a bus Red Arrow passengers with economic number 28 that made the route Puebla, Acatzingo, Quecholac, Palmar de Bravo, Córdoba at the hands of Delfino Tenorio Corza. Placed 15 meters from the center of the original road, La Cruz remained there 51 years, never moved, over time I change the landscape, change the line of the road disappeared the curve and La Cruz turned away from the new road. The land where the Monument was was sold, there were built some rooms that served as an antro, that is, La Cruz came to be inside a slum of death between “ladies who smoke” and “ladies of the party” - says Don Quixote - waiters, bottles, drunks and the music of a rockola. Years later, a large Road Distributor was built, a symbol of modernity, progress and the Cross appeared on the side of the road drowned in the cement of a sidewalk. We had to rescue La Cruz, request permission with the Authorities and at the time do a quasi-surgical job to remove the monument because we did not know how damaged it was. Only a few days after the request to rescue La Cruz were we attended by the Secretary of Infrastructure and Transportation of the Government of the State of Puebla Diego Corona who immediately gave the instruction to do the work and place it a few meters, in the Garden of the Road Distributor D8, a three-meter-high stone pyramid was built to place La Cruz on top. Arturo González Camarena, Jorge –the Chato- González Camarena, the architects Mauricio and Roberto González de la Fuente and the teacher Nabor Cano and his crew work on the project. Many were the hours we dedicated to this task, site visits, phone calls, whatsapps, photos, video and talks loaded with ideas, opinions, assumptions, projects, sketches and even a watercolor of "Chato". The funerary monument elaborated by the painter, muralist and sculptor Jorge González Camarena. The Cross itself is a funerary monument made of stone and geometrically designed blocks and that follows its lines in a natural way and on the horizontal arm (above and below the arm) has four rectangular additives that together represent a kinescope, a screen television, the center is, at the apex of the vertical axis and the horizontal arm not only of the monument but of the screen. A work of art that weighs approximately seven tons. Today La Cruz will be a point of reference of the road to the arrival and departure of the City of Puebla, an appointment for the neighbors in the geography of the municipality of Amozoc, a meeting place, place for the triumphant tribute of the inventor and scientist, many will know in memory of who was made, others will entrust their path by crossing themselves in front of her. The truth is that now, on top as if it were a television antenna The Cross of Don Guillermo continues to broadcast, sending signals and messages in many directions.
