TopParken - Recreation Noordwijk Dunes

If wanting to escape the city life.. great escape with plenty of options for walks, bike rides all surrounded by dunes, forest, and beach...nice to see dear unfazed by human presence...

Nice place, nice staff. Houses are small, but clean, complete and comfortable. Internet connection is very bad and unreliable.

Loved it, but. When we booked we thought we were reserving one of the private bungalows. When we arrived we were told we had reserved an apartment, no big deal we thought. When we got to our room though, it was on the top floor and the architect had obviously not planned this floor very well. The entire apartment was pitched inward with the roof line, there were no other rooms available so we dealt with it but the entire stay was quite comical. Luckily we weren't spending much time in our room, since you had to walk around the apartment hunched over or leaned to one side. The location is quite nice. Pack your own towels like we did and you'll be fine. Also, get or bring cash. A lot of the local stores DO NOT accept debit cards or credit cards (only some Dutch prepaid cards? as we came to find out the Dutch word for debt is the same word for guilt, they do not like using credit cards). The park staff WILL NOT give you more than the single roll of toilet paper they give you at check in (even if you offer to purchase more). Read the reviews, plan accordingly, DO NOT reserve an apartment (at least not a top floor one), bring towels, bring cash, bring your sense of humor, and you will have a great stay. We chose this place because it was in between The Hague and Amsterdam, but there was plenty to do and see in the area as the dunes are obviously a vacation destination for the locals.

Had a trip planned with sport group (13) from Canada, trip was canceled because of the Corona virus. We had 3 Chalets booked and Topparken refunded 100% of the reservations.
