The bicycle I was sold became faulty within a minute and a half of cycling away. The proprietors do not check their used bikes before retailing them. They overcharge as well, naturally, and a false Utrecht City emblem on their shop sign is a trick to make customers feel they're in safe hands. Don't bother with this place; look for a bike shop that is a little out of the centre of town. It may be worth looking for a long-term rental bike, three or four months, instead of buying one.
Come over if you want to be treated badly and leave with the same problem that you came with!
My wife and I rented bikes for a tour we were in. Very friendly and helpful. We had two bikes for 3 hours for 10 euros. We above and beyond to make sure the bikes we adjusted for us and we would highly recommend!
It is a great place the customer service is great, the prizes are also fantastic you can go out of there not only with a bike but also with a smile a contagious happy mood.
I don't normally write reviews, but my negative experience here warrants a response. These guys don't shoot straight and don't stand behind their overpriced products. Plenty of other bike shops in Utrecht. I highly recommend skipping this spot and trying your luck elsewhere.
