De Saense Lelie

We stopped in here while visiting the lovely historic area of Zaanse Schans, last July while visiting our daughter and grandchildren while they were residing in the Netherlands. The store is well stocked with items to pick up your souvenirs. Worth your while to stop in and see for yourself. We did and would love to return to this area again.

The saleswoman is not polite at all, perhaps the worst racist I’ve ever encountered with. Asked what the gift is given for I Amsterdam card holder, and she says she cannot tell me unless I buy something and rolls her eyes, continues to text on her phone. I go back and say that she should be more polite to the customers, and I get a very offensive reply “Blah blah blah.” I was enjoying the view of the beautiful town, and this amazingly ignorant woman ruined it all.

The salelady refuses to give complimentary gift even showing the iamsterdam card but if only you purchase the cheesy sourvenior.

Amazing place. It is at least worth coming and looking at unusual items on sale

Large but relatively narrow gift shop with rather high prices, a visit is not worth it, there are better stores like Vrede right next to it or the souvenir shop in Klompenmacherei.
