I don't really know a shopping center, there are some handy shops such as a number of supermarkets, hairdressers and a Purmerendse Gall & Gall AKA grape garden. For the rest, that bridge bit you crazy because you are not allowed to cycle on it while that toxh is being done, so that sign is of no use. But for a chat and a snack, this is a place to go.

A nice square for daily shopping, with a top fish shop and a good liquor store with fine wines and beers, a fine cheese / nut shop, a delicious bakery, two good supermarkets and a daily market on Wednesdays. Of course there are more shops, but personally I make little or no use of them.

My old square always feels familiar. I have heard that the AH is returning to Meerland after a long absence. Good thing.
