Molen shows a development from (at the top) 18th century to contemporary layout as a flour mill with office space. Old elements have been preserved and lie partly between floors. The mill is open most Saturday afternoons as a 'lesson mill' for millers in training. At the very top of the mill can only be seen during a guided tour at a standstill. It concerns the highest and oldest mill in the province of Groningen.
