The Information Pavillion has a somewhat interesting exhibition about the Lauwersmeer area. They do provide quite good maps, a one page bird atlas and many leaflets for those who want to explore the area. Friendly lady happy to help and explain. Close to two restaurants as well.

Nice information point with friendly lady who provided information. Entourage around HIP could use a little more attention. Looks a bit neglected. HIP itself is neat.
