Local Goods Market

Definitely something different than the rest of Amsterdam. We went there “just to check it out” (didn’t google much prior to visit). What was the most entertaining was actually the food market. I love this concept! You’ll find a lot of “restaurants” (basically food stands) offering different kinds of meals from all over the world. The reason I’m rating this only 3* is because it will take forever for you to find a place to sit. There’s a huge “common area” with chairs and tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal, but it’s a mission to get to sit. It took us at least 20ish min browsing around and waiting for someone to get up so we could sit. And it’s a real struggle because you are not the only one “hunting”. As for the food, I had this local deep fried cheese balls, that was very nice. The other pick were ribs from Rough Kitchen which I really didn’t like. That was a bit disappointing. But than, the stand with these little round sweets made my day. I forgot the name of the place, but I’ll post a pic. You can’t pass by without noticing it.

Really nice place with lot of business to buy stuff. Some expensive, some not so much.
