My mother died in early September. My mother had funeral insurance and I was under the assumption that everything would go through such a funeral authority. At the funeral of my mother-in-law a year and a half earlier, everything went through a (although different) funeral agency, but that was not pleasant in every respect. My niece indicated that you could also choose your own funeral supervisor. She knew someone and it turned out to be Marion. With her contacted, she came almost immediately, got acquainted and from the first contact we got a sense of involvement and know-how and we decided to appoint Marion as a funeral director. Marion then contacted the funeral authority and arranged her input to them. A lot comes at you, cards, a coffin, the church, the crematorium, coordination with the pastor, the condolence occasion, etc. During the days until the funeral, Marion took care of all this for us, whereby we as a family never had a moment have had the feeling that haste had to be made. Only much later did I hear from her that she never wants to do several funerals at the same time, which is done through a funeral service. Marion also took care of the collection of my mother's old policies, which in itself should be quite a job. Marion gave us all the space, she offered solicited and unsolicited options, we chose. Marion was constantly available for us and where we wanted to change something again, she arranged it for us. Everything she did for us happened with respect, to us and to my mother. The funeral ceremony has become the way we envisaged it and received from guests how well cared for everything was. Afterwards there was also contact, such as with thank-you cards, etc. After a few weeks a neatly arranged and insightful overview of costs and income that Marion personally came to hand over and explain. In that conversation I indicated that if she wanted to, I would write a review. Now, about 2 months after my mother's death, I have arrived. Again no Marion reminder, no pressure. Looking back, I am very happy that my niece has introduced Marion. She has been an enormous support for us in an emotional period for which we are very grateful. On behalf of the family, Ruud
