Lots of Wind mills. After I was there, I just realised that the wings can be turned. I think they need to turn it according to wind direction. Each wind mills is used on diffent purpose. This one is used to grind spices. Some are used for grid some kind of coal.

It was my first time inside a windmill and I could see how it is still working. Free entrance. You can also buy souvenirs if you like to cooperate with the maintenance of this traditional place.

We visited the area before the high season and while it was cold and windy we had a wonderful time. Our favorite place was the spice mill. We bought stone ground mustard that is made there. Wow, it is delicious! this village is worth the easy 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam Central station.
