I would rate the bridge higher if the "no scooters" sign and policy were ever enforced. The sheer uneccesary number of high-speed idiots on scooters makes this a dangerous option for the thousands of bikes and kids who use this beautiful bridge daily.

Tough bridge to bike on, but the view is great and there's a walking path for pedestrians!

Terrible! My girlfriend could not find the ramps at all! She had to take the stairs with her bike 😠. Would give 5 🌟 if the city to put down better signage.

This is of the best cycling and foot bridges I've ever seen...with an amazing views, especially during the sunset time. Slick design, amazing views, especially during the sunset times. The bridge is a connector between the OLD and a NEW city. It spans the busy Amsterdam-Rhine Canal and connects the city’s east side with Diemerpark and via this park with the new residential area IJburg. The bridge consists of a 160-metre middle section and two approaches, which are 255 and 270 metres long respectively. These long approach routes provide an easy gradient for users. Pedestrians can ascend on both sides via a stairway. It is an award-winning cycle and footbridge in the Netherlands and was designed by Jim Eyre of London-based Wilkinson Eyre Architects. Cyclists reach the middle section via curling approach routes. It has been opened from 7 June 2006 for cyclists onwards. The cost: € 12.2 million9
