We spent 4 nights with our camper on the newly opened camping site de Wartenster. What a wonderful campsite! The camping owners are very friendly and enthusiastic. We were invited to go on the twilight window tour and that was a great experience. We ourselves do not go sailing in the dark and with the camping boss, who talks enthusiastically about the area, it was really great. Eating pizza in the restaurant is also recommended. It looks very nice how they are baked in the wood-fired oven and it tastes delicious. On the field where we stood we had a beautiful view over the Frisian farmlands and we had nice contacts with the other guests. Just right .... not too much, but just as pleasant a chat if you want. In short: We really enjoyed the cozy campsite and we would like to come back again.

Super new campsite on the edge of the beautiful Alde Feanen national park. The campsite had just opened for four weeks, but what hard work had already been done! The owners are super friendly and the farmer walks around with a big smile and always in for a chat! We did not cook during our stay and ate well in the restaurant. With a view of a large playground, we could enjoy a delicious meal and our two young kids playing. We tried the home-brewed rosé fruit wine and that evening at 9:00 PM a campfire was lit by the campsite owner. The sticks and bags of marshmallows came out and it became an even bigger party for our kids. You place your bread order via a list and the next morning the freshly baked bread rolls will be ready for you in a cozy basket. We had a wonderful stay here with only friendly and helpful people. Stayed 3 nights at the newly opened campsite with our camper. Hospitable and always friendly managers. Every morning you can order fresh bread, this was really delicious. Nice cycling environment. And certainly worth repeating. Really great what has been made possible in this short time. Nico and Wilma Dullaart

Delicious food in pleasant and above all cozy surroundings. Fast and very friendly service. In short, recommended.
