My bike rattled, so I brought it to the bicycle repair shop. After replacing a ring at the headset, the problem should be solved. I paid € 43 for this, but the bike still seemed to rattle. So back to the bicycle repair shop. His proposal; replacing the ballhead in its entirety, costs: € 50, - Without glances or blushing and without showing any willingness to accommodate me in this, this man took it for granted that he would have me run for his wrong diagnosis. Could he not immediately have replaced the entire headset for the € 7 more I asked him? It feels a bit unfair that I now have to pay € 50 again. Then it all becomes very expensive. The man was not going to meet me so there was nothing else to do but leave € 43 lighter for the same rattling bike. Very bad. Feel scammed.
