Nice to see for short time if you are passing through

We went to visit with three boys aged 5, 6 and 9. The mill is beautiful and you see all the mechanics at work. We all learned a lot and, thanks to the enthusiastic miller, the boys had many ways to help hands on. They thought it was a really cool experience and were well impressed.

Did you know that the tallest, giant-size wooden windmills of the Nederlands are here, in Schiedam? They are a UNESCO World Heritage site. To visit this open-to-the-public one is a really impressive experience. Go to the third floor viewpoint and try to look down and walk through it. Enjoy great views over Schiedam and some of the still standing mills nearby too.

I have seen windmills in three places in the Netherlands, and the other two are very famous, but this one is relatively unknown, but the traffic is very convenient. It can be reached by subway from the Rotterdam Cube House. It didn't take long to see that some windmills existed in the city, and the atmosphere here was very laid back. There were few tourists walking along the river bank. If you come to Rotterdam, in addition to the Kinderdijk, the windmill is also worth visiting! If you do n’t have time to go to Kinderdijk, come here and watch the windmill
