Vermeer Centrum Delft

The ground floor is composed by almost every masterpiece that the great artist, Johannes Vermeer, designed during his life. Unfortunately there are only around 35 paintings attributed to this Dutch Golden Age and Baroque creator. What I really loved about this museum was the merging between technology and classic used to present the genius of Vermeer's work. There are screens in many places and an audio guide which is walking you throughout a beautiful journey about this painter.

Great museum. Good to go visit, even with kids. No original paintings, but more explanation about the way the artist worked. When in Delft, you really must visit this museum.

This museum does not actually house any paintings; it’s a deep dive into what is known about Vermeer, which isn’t a whole lot. One level is a look at each of the 37 paintings credited to him. Another is a look at his techniques and some restorations, and the third level is an examination of the appearance of love in his works, via symbolism. It’s a great place to learn more about his work, but since he left no diaries and letters, much is unknown. Not sure this one was worth the 9 euro entrance

Not worth the price, even with a museumkaart. There are only printed replicas of the paintings and the storytelling has almost noting surprising. The museum is small in itself and the narrator in the Italian audoguide is quite bad. Better you visit other museum in Delft.
