Last papermill in Holland, manufacturers of the famous " Zaans bord" ( paper made of textile)

Fantastic experience to see how paper is made. And very educational for the next generation.

You go to a mill, inside you can only see the lower pounding blades. Furthermore, there is virtually nothing to see. The drive part (top) of the mill is not visible. You get a nice folder A4 which is neatly folded, with a flat floor. If you don't understand something ..... There is an exhibition, the lamps are not lit there. Where the paper would hang to dry is nothing, empty and therefore dark. According to other reviews there would be educational visual material, I could not discover. People who sit at the hort say nothing, very unfriendly. I could have fed the entry fee to the ducks better. Conclusion: You better drive to the Zaanse schans, you will not miss anything.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Zaanse Schans, this is a mill that you can view at your leisure. The miller gives you extensive explanation about the operation and the mill company of the past. A visit to "t Kakhuis" is definitely worth it. When the paper machine does it again 5 stars!
