More than two weeks ago we had to bury my wife's mother, my mother-in-law. Since the funeral took place at the Slingehof, our funeral director has outsourced part of the service and the care of the "aftercare" to De Laatste Eer. Already during the start of the farewell service, some things went wrong: Windows error messages sounded through the opening number, but the DLE supervisor did not intervene. During the rest of the shift, recorded texts were played too late. Messy. After the service, the employee announced that the audio / video recording that would be made of the service (for absent family due to Corona) had failed. In the words of the employee of DLE: "I can say sorry 400 times, but that makes no sense". We only responded to a complaint about this after several days. The failure of the recording apparently had to do with new and untested USB sticks. We are shocked that this can happen: the service can never be over. It is very strange that something so important is not tested first! The Windows error messages turned out to be related to this, but the DLE employee failed to find a solution in consultation with our funeral director on the spot, if necessary by stopping the service for a few minutes. Then we would at least now have a recording for later and for absent family. So not to test and not to intervene when something goes wrong. The handling is also downright shameful: DLE did send us flowers, but above all insists that it was force majeure and that they could not do anything about it. There is hardly any response to e-mails and if there is already a response, our arguments are not addressed. Finally, we received a bill for the flowers from a completely different service. Moreover, they refuse to neatly specify the bill for the consumptions consumed in the bill. In short: very amateurish company. We all make mistakes; it is its handling that distinguishes amateurs from professionals.

It is not often that I write a review. And if I do, the reviews are positive. I have been allowed to take a look behind the scenes at DLE. The management takes choices based on fear (cover). Employee X (I will not mention names) does not know the boundaries of his profession and has proved manipulable. He has penetrated into private issues to the most painful level. Nobody takes responsibility. That does not improve the world. "If nobody's taking responsibility, it may be your turn to step up!" ~ Anurag

to my surprise, today I received an acceptance on the bus, while I entered an automatic direct debit. better check the administration. sloppy though!
