Noordpier

A very nice hike out to sea, you get amazing views of the North Sea, the Tata steel factory and Ijmuiden. Also various surfing and kiting activities on the beach. After or before hiking there is a selection of beach side eating venues and ample parking, though it is often busy and you may need to walk an extra bit. If you go to the very end of the pier at flood bring a poncho and rubber boots if it's windy, and it often is, there is a lot of spatter.

Good place for a walk by the sea. Be ready for some wind :)

A great place for a walk, I recommend a walk during sunset.

This is a great place for surfing. We ended up coming on one of the strongest wind days of the year. Better for kite surfing than board surfing. It was hell getting past the break. This strip of the beach is loaded with fellow surfers and some great restaurants/bars. I would recommend aloha, the food is fantastic and they have a great selection of non-alcoholic beers, wines and cocktails.
