Beautiful place for an evening walk.✨
Boardwalk and pier houses
These houses have two sides:
- an exterior; not situated on the water, mimics to the landscape of Groningen.
Red brick houses that occur naturally in the green landscape.
- An interior; located on the harbor, that refers to the active, the colorful, the almost anarchic of a harbor. One side brick, the other side wood.
In the context of the architecture competition on the occasion of the 2009 Architecture Day, the jury of experts awarded this boardwalk and pier houses third place.
