General In diabetes mellitus, the amount of sugar in the blood is too high. That is why it is also referred to as 'sugar' or diabetes. Sugar (glucose) comes from the carbohydrates in our diet. For example, carbohydrates are in bread, potatoes and rice and in sweet products, such as jam, lemonade, biscuits and pastries. Diabetes is caused by a lack of insulin, or because your body is less sensitive to insulin. Insulin is a hormone made in the pancreas that causes the body's cells to absorb sugar from the blood. There are two types of diabetes: in type 1 diabetes, the pancreas makes hardly any insulin. This form occurs from childhood. in type 2 diabetes, the pancreas makes too little insulin and / or the body cells are less sensitive to insulin. This form usually only develops after the fortieth year, but it is also increasingly common at a younger age, especially in people who are overweight. Heredity plays a role in type 2 diabetes. Diabetes can eventually damage blood vessels and nerve tissue. This can cause complaints such as tingling or a decreased feeling in the arms and legs, poor vision, chest pain, walking problems and sexual disorders. Proper treatment of diabetes can reduce the chance of this. Recognize If the sugar level in the blood is too high, this can cause the following complaints: passing a lot of urine, thirst and fatigue. Other complaints are itching, poorly healing wounds and skin infections. Do it yourself A healthy lifestyle is important for people with diabetes mellitus. That means: do not smoke; healthy, high-fiber and regular food; do not skip meals; not too much fat, sweet or salty; no more than two glasses of alcohol a day; lose weight if necessary and exercise sufficiently. In most pharmacies it is "so that if you want to take away medication, there is a special counter for this, not this one, you have to wait endlessly until it is your turn, they also have a chat of 20 minutes and make you wait longer, I'm not coming here again, what a hassle.

Reasonably fast, helpful, friendly, easily accessible, spacious opening hours. Outdoor type of ATM for repeat medication. By means of a sent sms code, the medicines come from the wall. even accessible at night !!! Excellent!!

Good but very busy pharmacy. Sometimes medicines must be ordered first.
