Bought a boat in December 2020 that looked good and that, according to the broker, had been given a new antifouling in April 2020. Was also on their list. Afterwards, it turned out that the inspector we hired found that the antifouling was not good. They hadn't sanded it and just painted it over, which now shows big blisters. During the purchase this was also discussed but it was said that this was good. Afterwards we also had other experienced people look there who said that it was a mess and should never have been on the list. We checked a few things and found out that this was work by De Valk Zeeland Yacht Brokerage. On closer inspection, we were just fooled and have now done the antifouling ourselves and have to pay ourselves. We will never again buy or sell a boat from this broker.
