Usually I don’t give negative feedbacks but this time I experienced probably worst service of my life. The person (mechanic) helping me with the issue on a new bike was not helpful and even rude. It appeared to me (it’s my personal opinion) that shop can improve on quality, make sure items they sell are installed correctly and properly checked. I had to have quite long discussion proving mechanic that it’s not my fault, problem exist and it’s bike shop who has to fix it. It can be a language problem - i don’t speak Dutch. But if bike is broken it’s going to be broken in any language) Here’s my story: Initially I bought a second hand Gazelle CityZen bike from this shop - on the first week I’ve discovered problems with the disk brakes also frame of the bike had very annoying squeaking noise, even bike pump provided with the bike was broken - to me it was clear indication that bike was not properly inspected by shop before putting it on sale . After quite long discussion with the stuff they offered me a gift voucher so I can replace this second hand bike with the new one from their shop. Finally I bought a brand new city bike Sparta Regular (meant to carry children and to be all round low maintenance bike) During the purchase stuff asked to wait a little so they can check the bike. But even after check (during handover) I had to point them that tires were not optimally inflated (they were half empty). On the first day after purchase number of issues appeared: after first 10km rear fender attachment got lost, then we discovered plastic chain guard rubbing against spokes on the rear wheel making constant clicking noise, and (worst thing) crank arm fell off bike while cycling (15km away from home)!!!. Definitely something you don’t expect from a new bike bought from the normal bike shop. But it turned to be that my challenges was not over. When I brought bike back I really wanted my money back because I simply could not trust shop providing such service. Apparently this shop does not provide return of the money but they offered me a free repair. Crank was replaced very quickly and professionally, about rear fender they said it most likely me who broke it while loading the bike in a car (later after some discussion they offered me replacement and as a quick fix just used plastic strip fastener) And then little drama started. I had to spend almost hour proving shop mechanic that it’s not normal when plastic chain guard moves freely and rubs against spokes. At some point he started to tell me that I’m the first client in his 20 years work experience approaching him with such weird request (guard rubbing against spokes). According to him this guard is made this way by design and I should never touch chain guard with my hand or leg (even when cycling). He kept ignoring my remark that I going to ride on cobblestone, carry my children and park in the train between lots of bikes inevitably touching this chain guard displacing it and making rub the wheel. At some point he even told me that he can not hear rubbing sound at all and it’s my personal issue that I hear this rubbing sound. So I had to use my camera to record the sound while riding to prove the issue. Eventually after almost 1 hour of discussion and video with the clicking sound another mechanic showed up asked few questions picked the bike and … fixed it in 30 minutes. He just removed chainguard and reattached it again properly and firmly. Problem was solved. Now I can touch my chainguard and it’s not moving, no noise - happy ride, happy family. Still have no idea why it took so long, why I had to explain that it’s not my fault and I’m not crazy :-). Hopefully this is really first case in 20 years of his career and rest of the bikes handed over smoothly and flawlessly. Thank you for the bike and lets make bike service great again!

Nice business, you will be helped well with sales. The young technicians have little knowledge of maintenance, lack of experience. Replace parts without consultation with the customer. Bill was therefore much higher than expected. Therefore two stars.
