The room was ok, clean and with all needed accesories. For the breakfast you can have what you want, there is everything. Large selection of good meals for dinners. Gym has a lot of different equipment, you can find something for you for sure. There are two benches with load, dumbbells from 1,5kg up to 22kg, two stationary bicycles, two treadmills, multi-gym for 4 different exercises and a lot of more things.

Service levels appalling: one receptionist on a phone booking while three people waited:10 minute wait for the one nervous barman to take our order (only six customers in the entire place!): rude, disinterested manager who advised a guest to buy her own wine (at 17.40, on a Sunday evening, 2C outside) if she didn’t like what was being served, and walked off! Not really a generous offer of "BYOB" but a brush-off of an older, frequent guest. Shame! Not what Van der Valk is meant to stand for!
