Alkmaar is a city in the head of North Holland, where much is organized in the field of music and many other events. And on every Friday morning, in high season, the Cheese Market with the cheese carriers. Highly recommended. And where you can enjoy coffee or a drink in good weather on one of the many terraces in the city center.
Cozy city with the waagplein where you can grab a nice terrace.
Great city with many nice cafes and restaurants. Many sights and nice people here.
Too crowded, but it's okay to take a Friday morning tour and see the cheese market
