"Only" being painful or being sick is not enough to get an appointment at this practice. You first have to discuss with one of the assistants to be seen by a doctor.
1) I had a really painful bladder infection and the first thing I got to hear from the assistant when I came by (right after it started) was, that she couldn't help me, because I had to bring morning urine, although I told her, that I was in pain and there clearly was blood in my urine.
2) My boyfriend had a severe lung infection with high fever and they didn't want to give him an appointment, because it sounded like a normal "griep" to the assistant. She advised him to take paracetamol. When I called again to say that he didn't feel any better and he finally got an appointment, the doctor was sending him to the hospital right away.
3) Now I was having a sore throat the whole weekend and because I know that this can take some time to be over, I was trying pain killers, Strepsils etc.
When I was waking up this morning, my tonsils and lymph nodes were really swollen and there was pus on my tonsils. I don't have to mention, that this is quite painful and I can barely eat. What does the assistant tell me? They cannot do anything for me, because usually it's caused by a virus, and I should give it a week. Well, pus means bacteria which could be treated with antibiotics.
I feel not taken seriously at all, and I feel like I don't get help when I really need it. Unfortunately there seem to be some very incompetent assistants working there. I am definitely going to look for a different practice.
Very long waiting times and terrible service at the front desk. No empathy or making any effort to offer a constructive solution. Make sure you have at least 1 to 1,5 hours of free time if you go to an appointment here.
I have been there 5 times in 2 years and all these times a had to wait at least 30 minutes before it was my turn (even though I always had an appointment). Then, when I had my consult of a mere 10 minutes, I would get my prescription and go to the adjacent pharmacy where I would have to wait for at least another 20 minutes to get my medication.
The last time I went there, I was 6 minutes late for the first time. I was told in a very hostile way that I was not supposed to be late and that I should be on time. I agreed. Then the assistant continued by saying there wasn't any time for a consult now and that the doctor (who is usually 30 minutes late himself) would first be helping the next patient. I even agreed this was fair, but asked if I could wait and go in the time slot of the patient that took my place afterwards. I mentioned I only had a small question that wouldn't even take 5 minutes. She answered by asking me to wait in the waiting room, only to tell me 20 minutes later that it was not possible, for unclear reasons, to go in for 5 minutes after this other patient.
For me this was the last straw. The lack of hospitality and service all together combined with the long waiting times are the reason I switched clinics.
No way to get through to a GP.
Everything you may need in the case of health under a roof. Apart from the represcription of my children medicine which is not proceed yet after three days, others such as pharmacy, dentist and reception as well as nice and cozy waiting room found satisfactory.
