We have a very good bicycle shop where you come a lot for repairs.

I am sad to write this review. I tried to buy a bike from this bike shop, but it turned out differently. Below the story: Upon arrival we were well received and kindly assisted. In view of the demands placed on a bicycle, the seller came up with a suitable model, the "Gazelle Bloom". This 2021 model would be an exclusive of its kind, told seller. They were not even allowed to sell it, he claimed. The exclusivity of the bike was emphasized with the graceful printing of the brand name Gazelle, so you could see that it is a 2021 model. A second colleague was also asked for confirmation who loudly agreed. With a purchase price of € 950, this would therefore also be a bargain. However, we did not have to make a decision immediately and we were allowed to take the weekend to decide on this bike. This certainly gave us confidence. Once at home, we looked up more specifications of the bike. Here we found out that the bike that almost sold us was not a new model at all. The bike that was offered was even a model from a year ago (2019). We were shocked when we saw the accurate prices of the bikes. - The accurate price of a 2021 model is around € 950, - - The accurate price of a 2020 model is around € 850, - Our first reaction was actually that we didn't want to buy the bike. However, I thought this was blunt. This is because "Goos Stam Fietsen" has had a name in dubbeldam for years. Every doubledammer has bought a bicycle here. Obviously, this must have been a mistake or misunderstanding. And of course I understand that a small bike shop like this cannot compete with discount shops on the internet. That is why we have decided not to immediately abandon the purchase, but to confront the sellers first. No sooner said than done. Once I arrived at the store, I confronted the seller who helped me with the mistake that might have been made and whether the price would still be accurate because of this mistake. It was then that the true nature of Goos Stam's salesman came to the fore. The nice, well-behaved and understanding salesman suddenly turned into a tough businessman who told me that the sale would be about the new model. Indicated that the seller would have touted the new model and that the price would have been a bargain. The response that followed made me decide to write this review and to cancel the purchase. The seller acknowledged that it was said that it was a new model, but that it does not matter that the bike is a model 2 years older than claimed, the price is the price! So what Mr. claims is: It does not matter under what name or denominator you sell something, as long as you sell! I think this is a bad thing! And is it possibly punishable in an extreme case? My advice to people who visit the store, don't just let yourself be fooled about the bike you are being sold.
