Beautiful place, you got a lot of stuff to see around here. There's the sheepfold with their visitors center, where you can get an ice cream, see sheep and where they sell local honey of their bees. Then besides that, you got the grave hills where long long ago people got buried. These are still visible throughout the landscape, which gives a nice view. Besides that there's still the remnants of the Roman Marching Camp that once was there. You can see the foundation on the ground somewhere around where it's marked with a Roman guard statue. All with all a beautiful place.

Nice big heat to walk or cycle. Unfortunately dogs are mandatory to be leached until 16:00, but the bright side is there are still real sheepherders until that time on the heat!

Lovely walking here. With a different color every season. Keeping a distance of 1.5 meters is a breeze here.

Beautiful heathland near Ermelo, where you can walk. The visit to the adjacent Sheepfold is also fun, especially with children. Great for a picnic on one of the many benches. The Roman Marskamp route also runs through the heathland. A walk through the Roman history in the area. There are also moraines of which the Paalberg is the highest. There are also burial mounds from 4000 to 4500 years ago.
