Once you are on this beautiful city gate you have a nice view over 1 of the access roads to Hulst. The gate has been beautifully restored and offers a nice resting point during the city walk. Next to the gate is a pond with a beautiful fountain and below you the traffic rushes in and out of the city, a nice sight from above.

Vaulted brickwork single brick passage, tunneled into the earthen ramparts. On both sides above the gate arch at the height of the crown of the shore a stone parapet with a straight frame. On the land side on this parapet a year stone 1771. In 1932 the gate was expanded with a second, similar passage, in addition to a smaller pedestrian tunnel

There is not so much to see here but still interesting because this gate was one of the historic gateways to the city and was part of the well-known stronghold. It is located between the Keldermanspoort and the Graauwse Poort. It is interesting to view all the gates together during a nice walk in a beautiful green setting.
