Walking with a flat tire in the village of Banholt asked for a bicycle maker, Here I was sent to Bike Shop Heuvelland, arrived after a long hike I asked the owner if she could help me with a new inner tube for my MTB, I lost bag with spare tire on the cobblestones and with 20 euros cash in it. Because of this I could not pay immediately and she did not want to help me. Not even when I offered to leave my phone and cycle to my car (after changing a tire) to go straight back to pay. To my surprise she kept refusing to lend an inner tube and say to come back within 1 hour to pay. I didn't know what to do next. I thought I would walk back to the center, perhaps I will see another helpful cyclist. Back in the village I spoke to municipal workers who knew a bicycle maker in Margraten a few km away. Bike and myself got into the open body of the municipal van and taken to Bro Qua Tweewielers in Margraten. (Thank you very much) Stepped in here with the same problem and yes, here I was kindly helped, immediately bought 2. I was given a bank account number to pay later. I was able to change tires and finish the trip. That's another way to do it. I understand that nowadays you cannot trust everyone, but it is to the credit of people if they are helpful. Hopefully, the lady herself will never need help, because the saying goes who does good who meets well. Greetings Marco
