Rented a car for two weeks in August. The shop was nice. The gentlemen were friendly and genuinely nice. The car was fine. I extended the car twice owing to the pandemic. This is 5 stars. The one star is not for this. The one star is for the deposit that was in pending status and after returning the car, it was taken as a charge. I rent cars frequently and am not familiar with deposits not being returned from a global agency. Maybe it is franchised and can do whatever it wants. I contacted the shop and asked for accounting. Accounting is not at work for a week they told me, so the shop said accounting will send it out after the accountant returns. Six weeks to get a deposit back. Umm, that is not how credit card deposit works in the rental industry. To the consumer, this is questionable. This is my 3rd negative experience renting in the Philippines. I've had good experiences too (when leaving cash deposits) but boy watch your credit card.
