An old Jewish Orthodox Synagogue requiring renovations and repair. Orla prior to the war was an active Jewish and Eastern Orthodox community with approximately 3-5% Roman Catholics who were predominantly out of town public servants. As the synagogue was passed onto the Jewish Authorities in Warsaw and is no longer the property of local governments they are unable to invest public purse (ratepayers/tax payers) funds into the restoration or renovation of the old synagogue. I question why Jewish authorities aren’t doing anything to retrain their history...???

on the main entrance door and on the fence, there is information with the telephone numbers of people and institutions which, after contacting them, make it possible for interested parties to explore the interior of the monument. In principle, you can always call and someone from the volunteers will always open. The phone numbers 501 347 273 and 608 262 172 are numbers for local enthusiasts of guides. You can also call 85 739 20 59. It is a community center number and if it is only open, someone always comes and opens the synagogue. I am concerned about the fresh entries that someone could not get inside. Maybe he was just lazy enough not to call. From May 2020, there should be no such situations. Orla village administrator Marek Chmielewski tel 501 347 273

A beautiful, historic synagogue, which is managed by a group of enthusiasts, headed by the Sołtys. It's definitely worth it!

A very interesting monument, unfortunately a bit damaged. In recent years, the local community, headed by Mr. Sołtys, has been trying to restore the splendor and functions for the residents to this place. Various cultural events take place here - concerts, screenings of films (e.g. Jewish cinema) etc. Right next to the synagogue, nicely decorated wooden fronts of houses, which refer to the old buildings of the village and commemorate the inhabitants and their workplaces (shops, carpentry workshop, etc.). On the wooden structure, you can scan the QR-Code, which takes you to the community website with the history and interesting facts about Orla and the synagogue itself. Visiting possible after telephone contact at one of the numbers written on the door of the synagogue - we would like to thank Mr. Sołtys for showing us around on Saturday after 7 p.m. in his free time.

A wonderful and interesting place. We encountered quite accidentally while riding a moto. I recommend to see. Amazing frescoes
