The tenement house of the Kantorowski family from Żywiec is not the Town Hall but the Żywiec Cantorate. The city's authorities groundlessly took over the land and building - without looking at the heirs of the Kantorowski family. The history of Żywiec should be known from 1650 to know where the first tenement house of Maciej and Magdalena Kantorowski was located on the "Żywiec Market Square" and, furthermore, there was a farm area with buildings around. The Kantorowski family has by all means contributed to the development of administration in the city of Żywiec. In addition, they were generous founders in the Żywiec church and not only ... Today, the University of Żywiec does not remember the graves of the famous Żywiec Kantorowski family, which contributed to the flourishing of this city. The Kantorowski family is extremely sorry when "persona non grata" dances over the family tomb ...
A beautiful and charming place
The Town Hall in Żywiec is above all a beautiful building, a massive building from the period, and a very rich stucco ornamentation in the Renaissance style.
You can admire the craftsmanship and professionalism of the then builders. The building has been repeatedly revitalized, it is in very good condition.
I think that Żywiec is proud of his town hall
A building nicely composed in the background market
A city with potential - recognition, lake, rivers, mountains. Zero complete zero initiative from the current president to develop this region for tourists, the deserted lake, forests cut down in the mountains for power. There are no parking spaces, the only thing that helps money is the amphitheater and artistic meetings. Terrible infrastructure, three main roads lead to the cities, two of which meet on a tiny traffic jam that is always blocked off. Instead of building a new bridge, it was decided to repair the old one - a few hours of waiting in traffic jams. Roads in terrible condition, city pool in a deplorable condition. Everywhere there are city guards preying on parking tickets. The hospital should be demolished to the last brick, a new building erected in a hard-to-reach place. The biggest smog in Europe and the city is cutting trees to the trunk, there is no initiative aimed at any changes. Old buses, few jobs but a lot of foreign shops. A huge cash register pumped into the renovation of the market - the effect of removing dozens of parking spaces without any replacement. How are people still voting for the old cast ?!
