7M Rent a Car - Lido

Probably the worst car rental experience I had. The price was fine however there were several issues with the rental First of all the insurance policy. The staff was nice but completely unable to explain what is covered by the insurance policy. The half a page of insurance doc did not provide much info or who it was underwritten by. To add to that the staff hand you a piece of paper that in big bold letters outline everything that's not covered which pretty much summarised everything that you would expect to be insured i.e. mis-fuel, loss of keys, car theft, accident collision caused by you. There were two issues with the car. The back tyres were really worn which could be felt each time we made a turn. Secondly the fuel sensor was faulty. I rented the car with 3/8 tank and as I drove to return it dropped to 2/8. I had hoped that the company would show some lenience to this but I was forced to go and refuel again. At the petrol station I had to top up three times spending over 20 euros just to get the bar to budge. When it did, it moved to 6/8 full. Clearly a faulty sensor. Not offered a refund for overfuel, just a simple sorry. The price of the rental was fair but the price of the insurance 15 euros per day was nonsense but I took it out anyway so that they could not block 1,500 euros from my credit card. In hindsight I should have followed my first instinct and go elsewhere but time got the better of me.

Very bad service and dealing with customers is not so pleasant. I would not recommend it to anyone!!

Very friendly and helpful - the car ( Renault Clio Diesel) was also very good and the price was completely fair.
