Dont go here...they just try to charge you for something that you havent done. Check the car very carefully. They showed me the car in the garage with barely light when I picked it up. But when I returned the car they checked it outside in the bright light. So finally they charged me 200 euros for something I have not done. Never again with Europcar

Good vehicles, reasonable prices, good service. They fixed a mistake I made on the reservation (wrong dates) at no extra cost although it was my fault — thank you!

I never leave a 1 star review. You can go to my profile and see I've never left a 1 star review, because I genuinely believe in giving people/places a second chance. But my experience with Europcar was that bad.... I was supposed to return the car today at 12:30pm. I arrived at the Europcar location twice today between 12:30 and 1:30pm to find them closed, with no dropbox to return keys when they are not there. Apparently they were closed for 2 hours in the middle of the day for lunch break. I understand that, so I came back a 3rd time to drop off the car. When I arrived they charged me for an entire extra day, even though I showed proof (with a picture) that I was at the location to drop off the car, but they were closed (and nothing was mentioned to us when we got the car). There are 2 reasons why I'm leaving a 1 star review: 1) No customer service - this situation has happened to me several times with Enterprise, Dollar, and Hertz (I rent a lot) where the location was closed (or even when it was my fault and I was late). These companies either have a drop-box location to drop off keys in case they are on break or closed, or they understood the situation that I arrived within their 1 hour grace period but THEY were closed. They've always had some level of customer experience. 100 euros is a lot of money to charge for an entire day when I didn't use the car and already tried twice to return it (but THEY were on a lunch break). 2) The experience was just rude. There was no empathy, no acknowledgment that the customer tried to drop off the car, but they weren't there and didn't keep a drop-box. They basically said you will be charged and there's nothing you can do about it.....like what? Hopefully my review helps you understand how they operate with customers overall. Trust me, you are better off with other rental companies who aren't perfect, but way better than my experience with Europecar I hope they change their policies and think about customer experience as a business. I was going to rent a car for 1-2 months, but I will be switching to a different company.

TERIBLE FIRM, HIRE A CAR AT THE AIRPORT, NOT AT THIS SHOP IN LAGOS. I have used Europcar for years, but it was certainly the last time after Lagos experience... I have arrived to pick up my automatic cabrio mini cooper in September 2020 and I was told that my booking was not accepted (thought in their Europcar app it had a confirmed status and no notifications). They suggested that email was sent, however, I did not receive it... Long story short, I have been given a 15 year old MANUAL car, super inefficient, fuel burning, tiny, with low tire pressure, which I am certain would not pass all checks with the engineer.. In addition, I have been charged some fee: Family fee, 70eur - once got in touch with their customer service to ask what was the fee for, I was told that I had to check it before paying it... So basically, still do not know what it means, but certainly there was no second driver or family on board... At the end, this old terrifying to drive up the hill car costed me 100EUR per day, as in comparison automatic cabrio was supposed to cost 50EUR per day (plus fuel)... So the best 500EUR spent for an adventure of driving dangerous car up the mountains in Douro valley!! And the worst was, that there was no other option in town... So plan in advance and get your car at the airport, a car like this is 8eur a day!!
