Centauro

We've rented cars via centauro. They came to the airport and took us with shuttle to their garage next to the airport (cca 10mins). They helped us with all luggage. Car was ok, small scratches from previous users but very clean. Drop-off was very fast, and the guy from Centauro took us to the airport with "our" car so we didn't have to move our luggage from car to car. All personel was very kind and polite. They were liked to share tips on Madeira. We're really satisfied.

I got a car with many small damages which was rented to me quickly (I trusted the service guy that he marks all damages). At the end I was charged 220 Euro for a small scuff on a front door that normally I would not notice when renting a car. The service guys told me it's my fault if I haven't marked all damages when renting a car. Also, it's located 4km from the airport and it takes 10 minutes for the shuttle to come there, what makes a renting unconvinience. I had rented +10 cars in my life and this is my worst experience so far. Next time in Madera I will rent a car from a different company and avoid Centauro.

Real scam !!!! Disgusted to have passed by them. It's written in the contract in small. The wheels do not fit in the damage ... so if the rim has a micro-scratch even though you are not responsible, if you don't have any proof to back it up you pay 300 per scratch. !!! And since nobody takes a picture of the wheels, you have it all. 600 euros in expenses dishonestly earned ... a great feat of ignominy! RUN AWAY

SCAM, be careful flee. The worst honest of all the rental companies. Quick and intentionally incomplete take over so that when returning another employee, of course, rushes straight to the rims to charge you 600th for 2 rims barely scratched when we had never touched. I checked the other vehicles, they don't change the rims but charge you 300e per scratched rim. Of course they tell you afterwards that it is written in very small form on the contract and that photos were needed during the pick-up. REAL SCAMMERS
