Rent a Star

Our biggest complain is that, although agreed upfron that someone would pick us up at the airport at a certain time point, we had to wait 40 minutes for someone to pick us up. It was already late in the evening, and that kind of insecurity is really not a good way to start your trip. On top of that we had to make expensive phone calls to get in contact with someone who was able to help us. Because of this we started searching on line and were already terrified because of the reviews before we even arrived at the car rental. In general, the service was ok, although it was not 'star service'. The personnel was busy amongst themselves without paying much attention to customers. The car was superclean (inside and out), and they also expect to get the car back this clean. Therefore, we paid the €10 cleaning costs upfront. You can also choose to clean the car yourself OR to pay €15 when returning the car. For the rest we didn't have to pay anything extra when returning the car. They also proposed to add a second driver without extra cost, which was really nice.

Be careful with these guys. If you return the car they ALWAYS find a damage to charge from your deposit. I believe there is some trick with this. I will definitely not go there again! If you also face problems with them don’t forget to make your entry to the “Livro de reclamações”

Impossible to get your money back after more than 2 weeks! And we are talking about 2 thousand euros.... and of course they cannot help you when you call back. Worst service ever... Avoid that place if you need a car.

Nice service, transport to the airport

It had hidden extra fees for cleaning car - 10 euros, but it was still cheaper than in other companies. Booked a Smart. Expected MT, however got AT for free. The car was new and in great condition. Stuff checked all scratches and marked them. I did not face with any troubles on returning the car, everything was ok, but they definitely did inspection very scrupulously. I can recommend that rent company.
