Sixt Rent a Car

Avoid renting your car here! I rented the car during January 2021 initially totally fine, but when I deliver the car they charge me with a mark of a bad painting job from their side. Please be careful, take pictures of the car before you leave their garage. Or just try another rental car. See below pictures, the white lines it's a marker from their side.

workers are speculators, be careful what you have on the contract. The company is great, they can't blame it. Great in the Azores, 0 points in the Algarve - Faro.

Really helpful and polite staff. Answered all my questions and provided me with three great options on car. Car was super clean and the experience on return was great. Really quick and no messing around questioning why there’s sand in the car like other providers at Faro Airport. Will use again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Sixt is the only rent-a-car company I am always fully satisfied with. Faro airport agency kept the highest level of service I’m used to. Upon checking the amount of luggage I had, did the utmost to give me an upgrade without overcharge me. I only use Sixt nowadays and many of my colleagues do the same. Recommended.

On arriving at Faro it was easy to find the Rental Car Village, there was a sign outside the Sixt building directing you to take a ticket, however there didn't seem to be a ticket machine, after 30 minutes stood in a storm it was made apparent that the machine was actually inside, at which point there was a rush to get tickets, another 40 minute wait in heavy rain (bags soaking) 2 year old screaming we was called in the building to finalise the details of the hire, we was given an upgrade nice touch, but once again it was in the middle of the yard parked tight and we needed to get a car seat in, by this time the trip was stressful. Dropping the car back was extremely easy, but then the invoice arrived, £140.00 more than the original booking.
