Horrible experience. First of all picking up the car takes forever. Secondly: When we returned the car the staff agreed everything was perfectly fine. 1 hour later, when we were already boarding the airplane, we got a phone call that they will charge us €250 for some weird inexplicable reasons. Never again.

Good car hire company i recommend. No hard sell of extra insurance or other products if you don't want them. Small deposit of 300 euros which is much less than some - that's with no extra insurance. Check in quick and easy with no damage scam. This company also serves Alamo, Enterprise and National, so if you get a higher quote from on of these thinking you are getting more you might as well just use Guerin direct as it's the same office/company.

This company rips you off. Brought back the car and checked for damages with an employee, and all was fine. Then a few hours later they call you up saying you agreed to pay for “damages” and that they’re charging your creditcard. Never again

SCAM SCAM SCAM DO NOT HIRE A CAR HERE I paid for a car in full before arrival and when i picked it up they told me i hadn't paid in full and needed to pay more money. Guess what, my original online receipt didnt contain a breakdown of what I'd actually paid for so i couldn't prove what exactly I'd paid for. So I paid more money. They then told me about these electronic toll booths on the highway and how you cannot pay and how you have to pay for this green box that goes in your windscreen and that pays when you go through a toll booth and if you dont have one and you go through a toll booth you cant pay and will end up being fined. They said you pay a deposit of €100 and whatever you dont use you get back. Obviously we didn't want to get fined so we said yes as a precautionary measure. We returned the car and the man came to check the car and print us off a returns receipt and said this automatically returns and deposits due to you. So i asked "including the €100 for the toll booth because we didn't go through a single one?" And he said yes. We never got our money back. I've emailed many times. No response.

We've rented 4 times and been amazed at the efficiency and helpfulness of the staff. As with all car hire firms we carefully check the car and take photos and do the same when we return. With Guerin they pointed out scratches and marks to us. We have a yearly excess policy that covers us for damage so we do not pay for a waiver. Any extra money we have paid was our choice to upgrade or add a driver. We normally travel off season so review is for a quieter time. Would certainly use again. We were very impressed.
