Holy Trinity New Golutvin convent

Holy Trinity Novo-Golutvin Monastery is located on the banks of the Moskva River in the center of the ancient Kremlin in Kolomna. From 1350 to 1799 On the territory of the monastery there was a bishop's residence, where the bishops and archbishops who ruled the Kolomna diocese lived. The youngest of the Kremlin monasteries - Novo-Golutvin - dates back to 1799. However, many of its buildings are much older, since it was founded on the site of the bishop's house mentioned in the scribes of 1577-1578. Now the monastery buildings include 3 churches: the historical Trinity Cathedral and the Intercession Church and the newly built Church of Xenia of Petersburg. Also on the territory of the monastery there is a chapel in the chapel of the Equal-to-the-Capital Prince Vladimir and a bell tower.

Everything is very beautiful, well maintained. I remember what was there before the nuns arrived, and how they raked and cleared with their own hands. The temples are cozy, there is where to sit down. The services are long, the nuns sing wonderfully, good priests. There is something like a hospital at the monastery, nuns accept that there were doctors in the world, free of charge. Sunday school is for children

The monastery was founded in the 19th century on the territory of the former bishop’s house after the abolition of the Kolomna diocese in 1799 - inside the Kolomna Kremlin. Several buildings of the 17th century — the Trinity Cathedral of 1705 and the vast white-stone chambers — the Bishop’s building, were inherited from the bishop’s house. On the territory of the monastery, Trinity and Intercession churches, a bell tower, stone chambers have been preserved. On the lower floor of the Trinity Church, a temple was created in honor of St. Blessed Xenia of Petersburg. In 2002, a chapel was erected with a source in honor of the saints of Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and Anastasia the pattern-maker.
