Arkhangelsk temple was founded around the middle of the XIV century. In 1700 a stone church was erected in the name of the Archangel Michael with an aisle in the name of the Three Hierarchs, "dependent on parish people." The temple that has survived to this day is the largest in Kolomna. It was built on the basis of a gradual replacement of the volumes of the previous structure. The oldest part is the bell tower of the second half of the 18th century. In 1806, the refectory was enlarged and the refectory enlarged by the thoroughness of the Kolomna merchants Roman, Avxentius and Jacob Kolesnikovs. In 1820, with the funds of the same customers and the family of merchants Konstantinov, the construction of a new summer temple begins. The project, executed by the architect F. Shestakov in the Empire style, was approved by St. Philaret, Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomenskoye, July 4, 1823. The final decoration was completed in 1833. In the 1930s, the church was closed, the bell tower was destroyed. The building housed a warehouse, then an office. In 1936 the building was transferred to the Kolomensk Museum of Local Lore. In 2006, the city administration decided to transfer the local history museum to another building, and the next year the church of Archangel Michael was transferred to the Church. In 2008, the temple bell tower was completely restored.
