A neoclassical construction, despite dating from 1961, with a beautiful auditorium and good acoustics. Works are usually performed in Chuvash (in each chair you can listen to the Russian translation with headphones). There are also often classical concerts.

I advise you to visit the play "Devil's Slave". The performance is very impressive. Actors are plastic, truthful, Chuvash traditions are presented in an interesting way. I do not know the Chuvash language, but the theater provides headphones with translation. I rarely enjoy theater productions, but The Devil's Slave impressed me pleasantly.

I recommend everyone to visit this theater in Cheboksary, especially to guests of the capital !!! I don’t speak Chuvash, but I go to the Chuvash dram with great pleasure! Firstly, the theater is neat, clean, cosmetic repairs are being done, it's very nice to be there! Secondly, local actors are very impressed with me! On the stage you can see actors of all ages, you will not find young people there who are made up for the elderly and vice versa (which is often found in theaters), because the actors correspond to their roles in age, and it’s very touching to see very old, honored artists on the stage. They play great! High-quality simultaneous translation. Only the headphone jacks are in some places shattered, it would be necessary to fix it. You can come with your headset, you can take it in the theater. I recommend to everyone who wants to feel the local flavor!
